We have a new set of screenshots from Elven Legacy, illustrating this standalone add-on to Fantasy Wars. Developed by 1C:Ino-Co studio, Elven Legacy features a nonlinear storyline, two primary campaigns, a wide variety of bonus missions, as well as a map editor. Elven Legacy is scheduled to hit the store shelves in March 2009.

Sector 3 Games has released an updated demo of Circuit Defenders, a fast paced Tower Defense style game, where your challenge is to defend computer circuits from attacking virus armies that are infiltrating the circuits via the BlueTooth port. You have an assortment of defense towers at your disposal, and the ability to upgrade them as needed to ensure you can withstand the enemy onslaught. Cateia Games released a new set of screenshots from Tibor: Tale of a Kind Vampire, a platform arcade based on a fairytale by Croatian writer Damir Civrak. Tibor is a fantasy game with 0% violence, fun and easy to play with unique visual style and colorful graphics. The game features 5 locations, 25 levels, 10 enemy characters (like, black cats, bats, spiders, frogs, thieves...), a comic style cut-scenes, 25 minute soundtrack, many items to collect (like: coins, diamonds, potions...), high-score list of players and much more. Tibor: Tale of a Kind Vampire is expected to be available this year.

The official Basilisk Games website has word that some early alpha testing for Eschalon: Book II will run this January. Eschalon: Book II will continue the storyline from where it ended in the previous game and feature more than 60 gameplay enhancements. The game is expected to be released Q2 2009 for Windows, Macintosh and Linux-based computers.

Capcom has announced that Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop will hit the store shelves on February 24 in North America and on February 27 in Europe, exclusively for Wii. Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop follows the harrowing tale of Frank West, an overly zealous freelance journalist on a hunt for the scoop of a lifetime. In pursuit of a juicy lead, he makes his way to the small suburban town of Willamette only to find that it has become overrun by zombies. In related news, Capcom has teamed up with Japanese punk band GaGaGa SP to promote the game. The band has recorded a song and the promotional video now with added English subtitles is now locally mirrored.

Game Mechanic Studios has unveiled Art of War, a first-person shooter based on an original intellectual property (thanks: Blues). According to this Joystiq interview, Art of War will cast players in the role of a "reclusive millionaire" and art lover hilariously named Warren Canvas, as he revisits famous past battlegrounds. Sandswept Studios has revealed the development of DETOUR, a road-oriented Real-Time Strategy game that takes a satirical twist on highway construction, environmental activist groups, and cartoon humor. Players compete against each other and/or AI opponents to outsmart and out-build them. The goal is to build a road to the opposite side of the board and successfully deploy a delivery truck, without being stopped, and at the same time, stop your opponents from doing the same. Shrapnel Games today announced the online release of War Plan Pacific, a game created by KE Studios, a development house based in the Puget Sound region, War Plan Pacific is a turn-based computer wargame for one or two players covering the entire war in the Pacific from 1941 until 1945 (press 'read more' for details).
